Waupecan Lodge 197 held its annual Spring Fellowship on May 8th - 10th. This Fellowship was chaired by Kyle Anderson who did a fantastic job of making sure things ran smoothly and on time. The Lodge welcomes all of the new Ordeal members that were inducted and congratulates all of the new Brotherhood and Vigil Honor members. We encourage you to participate in all of the Lodge and Chapter activities that you can. All in all Fellowship went great and we are looking forward to the next one in the Fall. 2009 Distingushed Service Award Announced PDF Print E-mail

At the May National BSA meeting the National OA Committee announced the 2009 recipients of the Distinguished Service Award. Seven arrowmen from the Central Region will be presented with this prestigious award at NOAC this coming summer. Congratulations to:

  • Kyle Becker
  • Forrest Bolles
  • Russ Bresnahan
  • Tyler Elliott
  • Don Hough
  • Chris Schildknecht
  • Ben Stilwil

The Distinguished Service Award was created in 1940 to honor those who rendered service to the Order beyond the lodge level. The award is presented to those Arrowmen who have rendered distinguished and outstanding service to the Order on a sectional, regional, or national basis. The award is presented every two years during NOAC. Since the time of the first awards were presented, less than 750 Distinguished Service Awards have been presented.

After sections within the region are realigned, new section advisers must be chosen to meet the needs of section leadership. Congratulations to all of the upcoming section advisers and thank you to all of those who will not be returning next year. We appreciate all that each of you do for the Order of the Arrow and the Central Region.
